The Friends of the Kingman Carnegie Library is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the interest and welfare of the library as an educational, cultural, and recreational asset to our community. Friends do this by focusing public attention on library services, facilities, and needs as well as influencing the gifts of books, magazines, and bequests to the library through ways approved by the Board of Trustees of the library.
Friends projects have been:
Purchasing flat-screen monitors for computers,
Displaying children's paintings from the Soviet Union,
Purchasing Christmas decorations and educational CD's,
Financial sponsorship of the children's programs,
Monetary contributions towards a bronze statue
Financial sponsorship of Summer Reading Program
Financial sponsorship of Halloween Candy for Kingman's annual Trick or Treat Street.
Membership Annual Dues:
All contributions are tax-deductible
Individual - $5.00
Teen - $5.00
Families - $10.00
Businesses and Organizations - $20.00
How To Join:
Stop by the library during normal business hours to pick up a Membership Form.
Print a copy of the attached form and return it with your payment to the library.
We cannot accept credit or debit cards at this time.

Your time and talent can benefit Friends and the library. We have several areas that need volunteer help:
Book sales preparation
Book sales
Social Committee
Marketing Committee
Board of Directors
Displays
Cookies for children's programs
Telephoning/writing for legislative support
Fundraising
Gifts
Financial contributions to Friends are welcome and are tax-deductible. Gifts may be designated for specific purposes or can be assigned where the need is greatest.
Memorial gifts are especially good ways to honor individuals who are special to you, the library, or the community.
